The Ritual: Movement
Happy Venus Day loves!
My body craved more gentle movement this past week, which came as no surprise since I started my luteal phase. I also became aware of my craving for something more soulful and therapeutic; a movement routine that would stimulate me physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
The Class needs no introduction since I've sung its praises on numerous occasions.
Gabrielle Roth's 5Rhythms follows a very different structure to The Class, but it is just as potent and cathartic. If you haven't tried it before, I truly recommend giving it a try as they are currently offering many online sessions to accommodate the current situation.
If you find yourself resisting any form of "structure", why not just put on a playlist and let your body respond without judgement. Here are a few instrumental playlists on Spotify and iTunes to start you off.
Remember, whatever movement you do, make sure you allow your body a few moments to stretch, it will thank you for it.
